Questions about the Pacesetter header for Z24 motor

So I just ordered the pacesetter header for my 84 720 4x4 and wanna know if the header actually will have some noticeable differences. Anybody else running pacesetter with stock exhaust ?

If you ordered it, it's a moot point. Save your old manifold for when you've had enough noise, heat, leaks, looseness, rust and rattling against the torsion bar. It will sound more powerful but just remember that the loudest drum is the most empty.

Some people like the mute sound of a stock manifold. Personally, I think headers make the rig sound pretty good. Especially when you have a nice cam in the engine. More times than not, the thin flanges will get hot and warp leaving a really nice sounding leak. If your crafty, make a heavy set of flanges for it before you even install it. Something that will handle the heat.

I have a buddy that's a metal fabricator maybe I will have him make me a thicker flange then. I've had pacesetter headers on some of my toyotas and never had any leaking issues

And I've already got a exhaust leak from hell from the bend in the down pipe off the manifold so I'm sure the header will sound better that the leak lol...

Good ones are expensive and if getting one make sure you protect it by having it ceramic coated. Don't use header wraps on it either. I had good luck with stainless fasteners.
