If you ordered it, it's a moot point. Save your old manifold for when you've had enough noise, heat, leaks, looseness, rust and rattling against the torsion bar. It will sound more powerful but just remember that the loudest drum is the most empty.

Some people like the mute sound of a stock manifold. Personally, I think headers make the rig sound pretty good. Especially when you have a nice cam in the engine. More times than not, the thin flanges will get hot and warp leaving a really nice sounding leak. If your crafty, make a heavy set of flanges for it before you even install it. Something that will handle the heat.
