My truck is about 5" down. I was shooting for 3 but that wouldn't have been enough.

 

I measure 25" from the top of the wheel arch to the ground. What's your measurement there?

 

I will say that at 5" you'll probably need stiffer torsions and shorter shocks or modded shock towers

 

3" would be very driveable without that stuff

 

EDIT: I should hve mentioned I'm running 195 75 14 tires on the stock rims (70?)

sounds like, if you all you want is a 3" drop, all you'll need are 3" blocks in the back then turn your torsions down 1 notch at the front.  

Mine are turned 1 notch and then the adjuster is "loosened" or back out about 1" at the adjusting bolt.  I didn't do the math on which did more, the notch or the adjuster screw, but they're both pretty easy to work with.

Heck you may not need to turn the torsion at all since it's really just a way to keep your adjuster from dragging and getting bent when really low.
