MikeRL411
Check the automatic transmission fluid level when it's hot. Bet it's low, Biennial service seems due! Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Normally it stays in gear at stop lights. Are you manually shifting into Neutral, and the back into Drive when the light changes? Quote Link to comment

Thnx Need more info. This a standard transmission? I shift into neutral at stop lights to preserve the release bearing. If hard to shift into gear then I would check the clutch master hydraulic fluid level. Its just to the right of the brake master cylinder booster when viewed from the front of the car. If low, topping it up and or bleeding it may help. Quote Link to comment
sal
If master and slave cylinders are working properly then your synchronizers are bad. if automatic check the fluid level if ok then try to do an oil change if still have problems then take it apart may be a solenoid or friction material gone from clutch disks Quote Link to comment
