old skool too cool
so I noticed the sender on the aftermarket water temp doesn't fit to the original thermostat housing. I read that u might have to change out housing. Is this true if so anone know of a good replacement? Or a wa around this Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
Is it that the sender body diameter is too big, or that the threads on the collar are metric instead of SAE? Quote Link to comment
old skool too cool
dude I picked up a cheap one from autozone its the sunpro. Im thinking that sender is the wrong one entirel. threads don't work and sender is actuall hitting the other side of housing. will it work with new housing or should I get a new gauge. Rushnracin
I had problems trying find correct sender for stock gage. Ende up going after market and an inline temp sender add on. Cut lower hose and installed works great Quote Link to comment
old skool too cool
never heard about that. Any Part pictures. What after market gauge did you use. And the inline just installs to radiator hose ? Quote Link to comment
Lee R
I had problems trying find correct sender for stock gage. Ende up going after market and an inline temp sender add on. Cut lower hose and installed works great I would put it on the upper hose and not the lower hose. The upper hose is the true temperature of the coolant exiting the engine and into the radiator while the lower hose is the cooler coolant entering the engine from the radiator. this is a cool idea..... http://prosportgauges.com/water-temp-sender-radiator-hose-adaptor.aspx Quote Link to comment
