Steak sauce.

Make a port reduction (to about 50%)

saute garlic in butter

Mix together with Heavy cream

salt to taste

Serve with crumbled Gorgonzola on top of steak.

I tend to pair with Cab.  but it is quite a bold flavor, so something lighter like a Syrah would likely go great.

Unless she is Vegan, this will get you laid.

Double chocolate cupcakes sprinkled with powdered sugar, and cocaine. They're actually really good and kind of addicting.

I'll cook the steaks if you supply the desert.

Not my invention, but a little crazy nonetheless considering it has cured hog jowl meat (think fatty bacon), sugo all'amatriciana with spaghetti. Some people are weirded out by the "hog jowls"  but it tastes delicious!

The sauce is an old Roman Italian recipe. Besides the pork jowls, it has white wine, Parmesan cheese, garlic, vidalia onion, fresh chopped tomato, and basil.

i haven't been cooking as much as i used to, these past couple of years with the girlfriend around.

but i have been wondering when someone was going to start a recipe thread, i think it would be cool to get a mix of different ideas.

I was searching on here for a recipe thread and there wasnt one so I was like I shall make one!
