Tried to sell

OK…so I tried to sell my truck, and had a bunch of "buyers." Some with money, all with reasons why "not right now." OK…it's all good. So new ball joints go on Monday and I begin fixing little things to make 'er even more roadworthy. But I have one question about wheels. My rear wheels are bent so I have some vibration to get rid of. I have factory steelies, and it's a 720 KC with 4x4 and 15" wheels. Trying to keep it looking pretty stock plus not a lot of funds right now since I just retired. What other wheels will fit my truck? I've heard about "offset" being a precise number that is needed for the 4wd, etc. I also saw Chevy wheels advertised on Ebay that said, "Will fit Nissans." What's your experience in this area?

It means the bolt pattern is the same. In most cases the 4x4 is high enough that it's never going to conflict with the body anyway. 29" tall is about the maximum height you can go stock without much rub on turns on bumps.

A lot of the newish Chevy wheels are positive offset. They may rub the springs or touch things in the front when turning.

You will be looking for wheels that have the same bolt pattern. 6x5.5" or 6x139.7mm is the size.

Damn near every 6 lug you find will fit sans some newer Nissan or Chevy stuff.

Do you understand offset? Is that the question?

Think of the whole width of the rim. Where the lugs sit inside the barrel is you offset.

Zero offset being centered in the barrel.

Negative will show more lip. Positive will be more backspacing.

Another issue to be careful of when using newer non-stock wheels is the center bore size.  A lot of the newer trucks that share the 6x5.5 bolt pattern have gone to much smaller center bore and will not fit over your 720's hub without clearancing them.  Sometimes it's as simple as a little work with a dremel but, it can be something requiring machine work.

And just for the sake of maybe helping in the understanding of wheel terminology, you can learn some here.

Thanks guys. All this is helpful. I'll admit my full comprehension of some of this. I have 235x15 tires on stock steelies. I just want a wheel that will accommodate the locking hubs on the front wheels. I am not interested in getting a lot of height of lift. Thanks for the acknowledgments. I'm pricing wheels this weekend. When I get them, I'll take some photos and post them.

Have a good weekend!

I believe they are referred to as........ Western 8 spoke

Might be able to find a set at your local auto wrecker.

Another option with a different offset....would be the 720 ST rim.

Are you moving Sealik?

Most people pack boxes and move to their new home, but I see Canadians do it differently.

We roll a little different up here.
All your shit goes is in one big 'box'....it's a squatting sort of thing.
That said...I should probably slap some wheels on it so they don't know where I'm going.....
