LUIS COLCHETE
Hello! I recently bough a twin Mikuni 40phh WITH 32MM venturis, mainjet 160 and airjet 210, now i now is a bit large for my A12 Datsun B110 engine.1200cc Its enough change the jets or i need to change the venturis? Many thanks on advance Luis Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Why change the jets? Is the air/fuel ratio incorrect? Put it on and drive it. I had 32mm on my A12 engine. It ran OK, excellent power. To make it run perfect, I suggest 29mm venturis. The jets should match the venturis, so if you tune the venturi size get new jets to match. Quote Link to comment
LUIS COLCHETE
I will put it and run it without any changes... i WILL TELL Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Use the photobucket "Direct" link. These are the fuel inlets. The other carburetor will have a single inlet. Fuel hose Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Starter choke: Yellow circles. Connect choke cable to these. Quote Link to comment
LUIS COLCHETE
Hi! The pipes im referring is the vacum to link to distribuitor, the small yellow one not the fuels. One carb has two another has only one. I think i need only one and i must plug the others to avoid leaks. Im tinking wright? Many thanks Luis Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The yellow arrows point to the mixture adjustment screws Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
My mikunis did not have vacuum ports. But in general you can plug them and leave the distributor unconnected. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
If you want to run a vacuum advance, connect one to the distributor, and plug the extra's. Or you could plug them all, but it's not a bad thing to have vacuum advance. Quote Link to comment

LUIS COLCHETE
Thank you for your reply Can i change the position of idles? I need to push the choke cable not pull. Luis Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Choke cables and the Starter choke are made to pull, not push. Here is the factory Datsun twin choke cable, it is quite long They are not rare, as Datsun Roadster also used them. BProjects sell them New Datsun Parts sell them I left mine disconnected. They are only needed when cold. I opened the bonnet and turned them 1/4" by hand. Quote Link to comment

LUIS COLCHETE
Where Lisboa? Do you have a fuel regulator? and you a Stock fuel pump? I think you told me that the stock one its enough to. Do you have pictures about the return pipe. Many thanks Luis Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Return pipe is not needed. Just cap the line at the firewall. Keep the carbon canister connected to ventilate the fuel tank. Quote Link to comment
LUIS COLCHETE
Sorry can you explain me better:"Keep the carbon canister connected to ventilate the fuel tank". The Original fuel pump its enough? becuase i learn Mikuni requires 3.5psi to carbs any time running. it is very important to use fuel regurator? Or i can run the carbs with my stock fuel pump and nothing more Luis Quote Link to comment
LUIS COLCHETE
Please advice or tell me what the steps you do, to mount your mikunis Many thanks Luis Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
I would use the stock fuel pump. If you are running a high-pressure fuel pump, use a regulator. Mikunis do not need a return line. The fuel tank must be vented. Do not block the vent line. Quote Link to comment
LUIS COLCHETE
The fuel tank must be vented. Do not block the vent My fuel tank is original, it has normal breathing system. and a normal gas cap. The fuel tank in original it is vented? It is correct what im sayng? What do you think?, i dont need nothing? neither buy high pressure pump neither regulator?. Just put the new intake carbs on a standard fuel system and tune correct the carbs. Many thanks for your help Luis Quote Link to comment
