I guess the po passed away and the truck has been sitting for about a year but it fires right up. I brought her home Monday. Only issue of driving it is....it has no brakes. Big surprise huh? Bake parts are on order along with other little odds and ends. Hope to get it into daily driver condition pretty soon. Anyways, here she is! "Redneck tree house style" also replaced the brake shoes upfront, just waiting for the rears to come in the mail. Chrisdevasher Posted March 21, 2014 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2014 Well dropped the seat, door panels, visors and dash off to get reupholstered. Should be done next week sometime. In the mean time I made these kick panels today and added speakers to them instead of cutting into my door. Added some left over carpet I might eventually use as a mock up to do the whole cab. Added carpet in the window channels so I don't have to listen to the windows rattle. Fit quite well and will make due in the mean time until my stuff arrives from Taiwan. Also installed the kick panels and rewired the radio. Didn't have any issues registering it and getting a tag either. The lady I bought it from said the guy that had it passed away but he worked for datsun back in the day. 1 Quote Link to comment

I do have a jetski that I might pull once in awhile. I might've just made a joke sayin that but I'll give it a try and see how she does with it. I didn't want to go all black and wasn't sure what other style to go with. I'm happy with the outcome and couldn't beat the price. $550 for the seat, door panels, dash, and visors with new foam and new doorpanel board. I guess the clutch wasn't used to being used and after driving it around a little bit it doesn't work now. New master and slave should be here this week or next along with a new windshield seal since this one leaks a little bit. 1 Quote Link to comment

Whoever had the truck previously used spray adhesive over the pilars and head line so it looks like crap. Otherwise the headliner would look good. Still thinking of what to do with that.
