Leather wrapped 620 Dash

Recommended Posts

Has anyone done this to the factory 620 dash pad? Post photos if so… I'm seriously considering having this done, but would like to get some ideas of how it would look, and where all the seams end up being? Did some searching on here, but didn't come up with anything that was a factory stock leather wrapped dash.

Also interested in what was done for preparation, and if existing cracks ended up being noticeable over time. I'm kinda thinking it might be a good idea to remove all the plastic overlay and replace most of the foam on top, so new cracks don't form and pop up under the leather later on. What would be a good tough filler foam to replace/reform the cracked out top with?

Thinking it would also be necessary to sand it down around openings, so glovebox, vents, bezel and all that still fit good? Planning on having a upholstery shop do the sewing and install, but feel I should do some of the prep work so they have a good foundation to work with… Any advise greatly appreciated. Thanks.
