Icehouse
The L motors usually have the 2 hooks one on the back drivers side and one on the front passenger side. I've never had a problem pulling a motor from any point on the head. Shit I used a tie down strap tied to my SR when I pulled it :D The ka is similar to the L, you can see the little factory hook thingys. You could always go to pull a part and grab some off a different engine. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
If you're worried about scratches, use straps, but I just throw a loop of chain under the fuel pump and around the rear exhaust manifold pipe. The engine only weighs 260 lb. A 10mm valve cover bolt would easily carry twice that weight on a straight pull. Quote Link to comment
kiznook
just throw the hook around those wires that go over the top :D :D :D :D Quote Link to comment
Bleach
even the six cylinder is pretty light. Icehouse and I just grabbed the L28 with our bare hands and pulled it out of a Z and dropped it into the bed of his truck... although, we are pretty built guys. :D Quote Link to comment
