Cmac Posted December 27, 2014 Report Share Posted December 27, 2014 First head is a p11 sr20de VVL. Second is a P12 primavera sr20de vvl. The P12 valve cover will bolt onto a P11 head and is a common swap. These two head swaps onto a sr20det are very well documented on the net. 1 Quote Link to comment

It is because of the VVl solenoids behind the head. There is a company that makes a relocation kit to move it from the back of the head. 1 Quote Link to comment
kevwal Posted December 29, 2014 Report Share Posted December 29, 2014 You can use the P12 CAS or the Mazworx sensor and a solenoid relocation kit to work on the RWD bottom end. This has been done many times in several RWD applications. You also need to use the VVL metal head gasket with the VVL oil pump with a modified pickup. 1 Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker Posted January 5, 2015 Author Report Share Posted January 5, 2015 I finished cutting all the little tabs out of the engine bay, I did not have a lot of time to work on it, Next is measure and cut the hole for the battery and start welding up all the holes in the engine bay. And i had to round up another tire for the left front so the car can be moved around easier. Quote Link to comment

I am going to rip all the steering components out later for powder coating just not now so he can or I can move the car around easier if needed. I guess thats 42 year old theft protection because the other side was 2 phillip head bolts. but its out and about. Quote Link to comment

When I replaced my ignition, I used a dremel to cut a slot on the bald rounded nub that was sticking out and used a flat head screwdriver to back them out. 1 Quote Link to comment
