BlackBird620
I'm looking to find out what cars have a larger diameter mc that will bolt onto my 79 620 booster looking for a 15/16 or 1" mc Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
1988 Nissan 300ZX has a 15/16" master. Also utilizes a large booster to balance out the big cylinder. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
What are you packing to need 4 piston calipers? Hardbody duals are more than capable of stopping a 620. Not to mention cheaper and easier to fit. Quote Link to comment
BlackBird620
My Kc will be pulling a trailer and the 4pots are for when it goes to shows looks better than stock it will be 4pot on all 4s. trailer will have motors n trans on it and bed will have tools and other parts not a light load most of the time. Going to put my ka24de hi compression from my reg cab in it 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The '79-'83 280zx is 15/16 and will mount to the vertical bolt mount 620 brake booster. The 300zx master is side by side mounting bolts and likely not. Larger boosters are great but much bigger than the stock 6.5"? will not clear the clutch master or the steering column just below it. Make sure you check the fit. Quote Link to comment
BlackBird620
Thanks mike I wasn't planning on changing the booster just the master so I can push enough fluid to 4 4pots and keep from going to the floor Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Wilwood makes MCs with either mounting position. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I ran Toyota 4 piston S12 X 8 calipers with the stock '78 620 master and they worked great! Quote Link to comment
BlackBird620
Mike will my 620 reservoirs fit on the 280zx mc. My mc is completely solid from not having the fluid changed and let dry up while it was sitting for 5+ years Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
They should fit fine. Make sure both surfaces are clean and the plastic warm before tightening the clamps. Quote Link to comment
