Used by GM. I researched and found '68 Camaro had them and used up through late '70's Chev, Olds and Buicks. Latest I could find were some '83-'84 cars. That's a long time to use the same mirror. The one in the picture is from a '80+-?? Buick full size station wagon, remote control, of course. I like them. They are beautiful and simple... and simply beautiful.

Great info, thanks.

A lot of those mirrors look really good... I'm still debating mine, whether to go fender or door mount, chrome or paint, round or rectangular... I've got a mirror off an old VW Bus that I'm considering mounting in the stock antenna location, on the driver's side fender. It's got a pretty good viewing area, so as long as the A-pillar doesn't block too much of the view I'll go for it.

As far as the passenger's side mirror goes... My first car didn't have one, and neither did the Datsun when I first got it, so I'm not sure if I'll install one on the door. I am planning on installing a "look-down" mirror off of a semi-truck on the front-right corner of the car. It's a rectangular mirror about the size of a book with a convex lens... if I mount it properly, I should be able to see most of the ground along the front and side of the truck. It'll make it a hell of a lot easier to park without hitting anything or curbing the wheels/tires, and it should look pretty cool if I do it right.

I went with some custom bike mirrors for my NL320.
They were fairly cheap for polished billet.
I liked the wink mirror style, so these fit the bill.
Although they are purely for looks and barely legal.

You are always exposed to danger, danger of getting hurt, danger of dying. This is your life, and you either approach it in a, in a professional, in a cool manner or you just drop it, leave it alone and don't do it anymore. And I happen to like too much what I do to just drop it, I can't drop it

Whenever I think that I'm out of my mind for putting this much time and money into an old Datsun, all I have to do is look some of your threads to know that I'm not nearly as whack as you are.

You're going to skin a few knuckles, stand up too fast and bump your head, hunt around the floor for the nuts and bolts you dropped, invent a few new cuss words and when you're finished you'll say "That wasn't so hard after all!"

Alrighty. So in looking around at japanese 620 pages I found these, the same as what I was trying to identify.

Posted Image

I found this at mooneyes, japan, and they're identified 620/510 mirrors. I found one at a j/y on a late model 510 (80's model).

So, does anyone know where these may be purchased new, or at least where I can find one for the passengers side?

Heres the mooneyes link: http://store.shoppin...dat96301u.html#

I had those very mirrors on my 521 [fenders] & if i remember right they are universal. Basically you just swivel the mirror part over if you wanted to mount it on the drivers side & or vice versa.

I wish! The only part on the mirror that moves is the lens portion. In looking at that mooneyes ad more closely (with google translator), I see them advertising the right side mirror, the one that I think nissan never made....
