? about using 4x4 720 leafs in 521...

I have the leaf pack from the 720 and I really would like to get on this project as my stock leaf pack only has 2 leafs and dont really feel comfortable rolling around like that. But I am unsure of what bushings to use. I plan on taking a look and comparing the 720 assembly to the 521's tomorrow but some info on what bushings to use would def save me some time (still searching the forums for a definitive answer).

Thanks, Derick

Use the 720 bushings on your 521 shackles, but you will have to figure out how to make the hole bigger in the 720 bushing, as the 521 shackle shafts are larger.

I just look at all the bushings I have and make something work, drill a hole bigger, or grind the outside down smaller.

Last week I ground a set of bushings down to fit my application with my bench grinder and a big bolt to hold it while it was spinning and getting smaller.

I used a roadster shackle mount to lower the rear.

I ended up ordering new bushings for this and and kind of stumped on how to ream them out. Drill bits dont work a round file is really really really horribly slow, I started using a graphite rod with a heavy grit enamled to the outside (used to fit cork handles on hand made fishing poles), it is still super slow like 5 hours of sanding to get the job done slow but its the best ive come up with so far. I wonder if there is an aftermarket bushing that will fit properly or least with less work.
