February 21-22, 2014 The Annual Route 66 Hot Boat & Custom Car Show is brought to you by the Needles Chamber of Commerce the show is formerly known as the "Big Block Legends Rally". This year the show is going to be bigger than ever featuring a lot more boats, cars, food vendors and music for a fun filled weekend. The boats will be "showing off" their beauty on the gorgeous Colorado River. On Friday there will be a golf tournament, community bar-b-que and a parade. The show is located on the banks of the beautiful Colorado River at Jack Smith Park in Needles, California. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYx8mbmKw9Y The sixth annual Route 66 Hot Boat and Custom Car Show presented by TKO Motorsports and Big O Tires/NAPA Golf Tournament return Feb. 21-22.Many of the same activities will also be returning. The event will kick off with the golf tournament, sponsored by Big O Tires/NAPA Auto Parts, at 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at River’s Edge Golf Course, 144 Marina Dr. The first day will include the Early Bird Mixer. The annual Route 66 Parade is followed by a barbecue dinner to wrap things up for the day.The show takes place Feb. 22 at Jack Smith Park along the Colorado River. There were about 100 boats in the show & roughly 50 cars & trucks. And to see 500 HP boats running 100mph on the river does'nt suck !! View My Video more pix soon... 1 Quote Link to comment

The welding is far from being done and Choptana shines ! ! ! With that being said, the parade was pretty cool. There are also some vintage dragsters that have been restored on display. INCLUDING T.V. First there was the parade through Needles: I told You there were some vintage dragsters there: And of course, BOATS ! ! ! As it was getting towards the end of the day, I tried to get some "artsy" pics using the lowering sun. There were a few cars present hanging out: After a few pics I headed home. I went to work the next morning so I totally missed the show. I am sure there were a LOT more entries than I saw but I had a good time for a couple of hours. Quote Link to comment
