67 camaro PT OLD project (pic heavy)

Recommended Posts

just gunna post pics for now...tryin to get more involved with photos so this will be a test.

Wiring the thing now, plus putting flares on the twins 260 at the same time....back and fourth. If you see images of the Z in the back ground, its past that stage.

Not sure its a good way to post pics but here goes.

  • 2 months later...

why would you sell this?!?!?!

Trust me it wasnt easy....as close as it looks to being done..there still is a ton of little things...and 4k worth of doo dads, and thats not to mention paint...which has to be done right or it ruins the whole car.

Reasons = I have NEVER driven this car..have owned it since 2004....have started and finished..sold 3 other projects in the meantime, so frustration is set.

I have 5 kids twins are 15, next girl is 12, nest girl is 3 and the last boy is 1......so time is tight...I coach ice hockey and serve in the guard.

just finished re-doing my pool, my house needs to painted, other remodeling bullshit in the house needs to take place...on and on.

what I really want to do, is take the proceeds and purchase fix and drive all types of COOL cars...and sell them. With building this 260z, Ive come to realize shiny paint and billet this and chrome that really doesnt make a shit of difference to me anymore. my perspective of what automotive enjoyment is has changed and by all means really NEEDS to given my current situation.

So the project was sacraficed, but the 17k will give me a solid start to my pursute happiness..?...lol. I want to build fully functional rides, that have more HP and better suspension then stock, low dollar paint jobs, clean but not the 10k dollar paint jobs that you might see on the Camaro...and I can drive them while selling....best of all worlds....wrench, build, create, drive sell, make a few bucks, repeat.

I really wanted to finish, but theres no telling how much longer it would have taken, and I see so many cars on CL that would be fun, plus I have a line on a full race KA motor to stick in something, and want to do a VQ30DET more then any domestic engine right now, so I pulled the trigger. And the guy buying it is good friends with Peter Brock...which is cool...and he owns 4 1969 Camaros, 3 Vettes, and 2  55's...he wants me to build another 69 he is looking at currently...so maybe this was a good thing...?
