Janksun
I was suprised at how straight everything was when I had it. The only rust I knew of was in the engine bay. I don't know what the radiator came out of, it was in it when I got it. It worked so why change it lol. Quote Link to comment
Janksun
I bought some meguiars polishing compound and did a little buff by hand. Came out pretty good. Quote Link to comment

Janksun
I did the rear brakes today. I just need someone to help me bleed them. Me and the keeper towed this car all the way from canby Oregon down here to ripon california. I pulled the hubcab off today and found this.... Pretty scary eh?? Check your nuts people! I ordered a couple inserts from McMaster Carr and hopefully they'll work for the stripped threads for the head bolt. I can't wait to get this thing on the road!! Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
I was at jasons house the same day you guys picked up that goon. Quote Link to comment

Janksun
So I got an insert in from McMaster Carr. So I drilled out the hole, tapped it, put the head on and started putting everything together to try to get it running. But dead battery. Had a buddy come over and bring a spare battery. Well it didn't start. I think I fried the starter though. Well onto the pictars 1 Quote Link to comment
Janksun
Having some trouble getting this thing started. When I turn the key, the starter doesn't engage. Maybe a short or a missing wire or something. I used a screwdriver and jumped the starter and it works. But now the starter just spins and doesn't engage with the flexplate. Need to check if I'm getting spark as well. Haven't had time today to mess with it a lot and it was late last night. Quote Link to comment
Janksun
I've determined that I'm getting no spark from the coil. Am I missing a wire to it, or have a wire in the wrong spot? Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
is there a tach in it? Quote Link to comment

Janksun
So the dizzy is electronic, but has the "matchbox" inside of it. I have two wires coming off of that box. One black with white stripe, one solid dark blue. The black with white stripe is running to the postive side of the coil, and the dark blue is running to the negative side of the coil. I have both of those hooked up and I ran a wire straight from the postitive terminal to the postive side of the coil. And I still have no spark. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
