Help Datsun 510 wheels

I want to get some wheels for my 510 it has stock struts and cut springs in back i want to knoe if 15x8 +20 will fit? The car is flared

Im running 15x7 +25 Rota RBs and they barely fit... needed longer studs in the front and a 10 mm spacer to allow the 205 tires enough clearance with the strut housing- narrower tires would work to. Rears are very tight on the arms... cant run clamp on weights.

Picture of flared car?  I'd bet something like a 15x9 +0 (5" backspacing) would fit better than an 8 +20  (5.25" backspace).  Maybe a 225/45R15 tire?  Picture will help and measure what you've got.

15x8 +20 won't fit stock 510 suspension. 15x8 +0 with 205 tires will fit a flared 510.

Here is what 15x7 +0 offset wheels with 205/50-15 tires look like. These are two of our customer's cars.

 

Generally 7" and 205 tires are all that is needed on a 510. The red car has an extremely well built turbo L20B w/ 200+hp.

Generally 4.5" and 155 tires are all that is needed on a 510.

varies 4.0" & 4.5" (I have a stack of both sizes) and I thought the preferred tire was a 5.60-13?

I want something deep dish though I like the stance look with stretched tire so i want to see if any 15x8 fit it cause it has the stock suspension?

You can't get a deep dish wheel on a stock-ish car. Physically not possible. An 8 inch wide wheel also has problems fitting in the wheelwell out back.

I don't think op bothered to do research either, chopped springs on stock suspension isn't going to give you many options. I honestly think he needs to get his suspension setup first and worry about wheels later...

Well, good luck with it. Some guys have got it to work, but it's a super tight fit. If they rub the body or a-arm don't complain to us.

15x7 0deg would be a better guess to fitting

15x 8 +20. the +20 put the tire close to the strut. but if streched you mite be fine. But its a big guess on our part.

run a 7 up front and if dont fit I guess you culd try a Ichiba.com 5 mm spacer to fill int flair if too much rin going inside

A 15x8 zero offset with a 205/50-15 fits very well on a flared car with stock struts.

It had zero rubbing anywhere, and was in fact a very conservative fit.

You take this into consideration.  Lokk like the front will hit if you want to get the cool look. To me his or that car is not low enough.  more or less the wheels dictated the stance on this

Yes, that red car is only 2" down all around. I normally do 3" rear and 4" front.

You could go a good bit lower by just switching to a 195/50-15, or better yet a 185/55-15.

Not low enough for me either, but I sold it before I had a chance to get it lower.   :rofl:

 

And I went that way with the wheels/tires because they were cheap as hell and filled the flares, so...

 

Had I kept it longer, and gone lower, I'd have looked for a smaller tire to get more clearance.
