KlassicMotion
I'm going to try Techno Toy Tuning's (T3) setup. I've heard good things about the Troy Ermish camber plates, but I already have the T3 camber plates on the shelf. https://technotoytuning.com/nissan/510/front-weld-coilover-kit-datsun-510 Don't for get this too: https://technotoytuning.com/nissan/510/camber-plate-upper-hat-system-datsun-510 Here is another link: http://community.ratsun.net/topic/39512-strut-insert-and-rear-shock-guide/ Quote Link to comment

KyushaKai
I've got everything T3 makes on the front of my wagon. Love it. I had Gabe at T3 weld the 280zx struts for coilovers and the only thing I have to say is that it drops it low. It's at max high and the front sits right in line with the top of the tire. I wouldn't say it's a complaint since that's right about where I wanted my front ride height, but for those who don't want to go too low, run 13's, etc. might have a problem with the T3 set up. Maybe call Gabe and ask him to weld the retaining ring up higher or weld it on your own. I'm super happy with them and if you're serious about going dumped, I could theoretically drop it another 4" if the exhaust didn't get in the way. 2 Quote Link to comment

q-tip
Fronts are 325 I don't remember rears but I think they're 250-300 Quote Link to comment
pondking
How drastically will a roll cage improve suspension? the guy that i took my car to said its better to invest the money into the actual suspension than a roll cage Quote Link to comment
q-tip
A pl510 chassis is suprizingly stiff, a lot more stiff than most factory spec sedans. Upgrade your suspension then drive it a bit, if its not stiff enough for you put a cage in, though I doubt you will need a cage for chassis rigidity. Quote Link to comment
GBean
If you buy from T3, know you are supporting an outstanding business and a guy who quite literally stands behind his products and does not rush production to just sell stuff. Gabe is very professional and has excellent business acumen.I have a few small T3 parts and LOVE them, especially the swivel bearing top hats. Will be getting the T3 T/C rods shortly. Just wondering and completely off topic (kinda, but IDGAD) What GOOD adjustable shock inserts are still available for the 79-83 ZX struts? I cant find anything easily that is priced right and new... I cant find anything easily that is priced right and new... Try KYB AGX. I'm not sure if they have a set for the 280zx... I just bought the AGX MR2 insert for my shortened 280zx struts. THMotorsports had them for $80 each with free shipping!! (Even to Alaska!!) Fat510
Fronts are 325 I don't remember rears but I think they're 250-300 should i get this spring rate for my car? because my car is like 300-400 lbs heavier Quote Link to comment
q-tip
It really depends on the ride you want, most say that any thing over #250 in a 510 is too harsh but it really isn't. With your goon the extra weight is in the rear, I would say anything between #250 and #300 would work for the front Quote Link to comment
KlassicMotion
It's purely a matter of personal opinion. If you order a set of T3 coilovers, you can request whatever springs you want. Lets say you order 200# springs to start with (200# seems to be the average consensus, so probably a good starting point). If you don't like the ride, check out Summit Racing. They have springs you can order for $38 each. You can get softer or firmer springs. Quote Link to comment
Fat510
Okay, that makes sense. My car rides like a caddy right now so I don't want to mess that up haha Quote Link to comment

Fat510
the KA about 10-20 lbs heavier than the SR, right? Quote Link to comment

q-tip
Okay, that makes sense. My car rides like a caddy right now so I don't want to mess that up haha In that case, I would say less than #250 for a softer ride. Or don't mess with it. Quote Link to comment

q-tip
If you want coil overs and a soft ride I would be willing to bet you'll have to buy more than one set of springs Quote Link to comment
Fat510
Probably...does T3 do exchanges? Quote Link to comment
