thanks guys.

so I've gotten bug eyed from looking at and doing wiring.  so today I finished the doors, installed the rest of the HVAC stuff, and install the brake stuff in the engine compartment.

thanks guys.  Ok, i'll give you a bone on the stepside....  as said before its a 78 Cheyenne K10 basically all stock.  only things that have been change (by POs) dual exhaust to single (probably rusted out due to age), engine ( has a target 350 now, 4 bolt main, found out when I changed the pan gasket), rear bumper (must have towed stuff), G80 diff is gone (probably grenaded by POs, or maybe an accident because when I serviced the rear diff it had a j/y making on the diff cover under all the grease), 4" spring lift (no blocks), trailer brake module, and LED taillamps (for a trailer none the less).

when I saw I had to grab it, I was looking for a Blazer or K10 stepside which ever I got a better deal on.  its completely stock, yes, stock pretty much unmolested right down to the factory AM/FM (non stereo, mono speaker) in the dash.

factory buckets (rare in a pickup, everyone wanted the bench to hold 3 people)

it even has carpet on the back wall

the wood bed is well... its shot, but it will be replaced soon

I've done quite a bit to it already, mainly maintenance, but a few new things.  intermittent wipers, brush guard, and a CB.  its still rough on the edges but runs like a champ and gets driven pretty regularly now.  plan for it will be a complete resto with new touches.  adding AC, sound deadening (surprisingly its very quiet now on the freeway), and a few other things.  I'm thinking of a LS engine with a NV5600 trans but at a minimun a 383 with fuel injection and a NV4500 trans.

I'm trying not to do anything to it as it's the next project.  see how that works...

so I finally touched the truck again.  I started running the battery cables and mounted the battery box in the bed.  I'm still trying to figure out the best way to run the cables to the box.  Not sure if I'm going to use something like this thru the bed floor...

or just run the cables thru the bed floor to the battery.  I'm leaning more to the connection way.  the cables will run to the front where the battery was to these...

where they will be run as if the battery was there.  so what are your guys thoughts on this?

added a 1" body lift for clearance issues with the fuel and trans lines then just about tied up the fuel lines and battery cables to the bed.  I had to order a few more parts and that should be done next weekend.
