125 CSL
https://www.facebook.com/HartleyEngines/ This is our prototype 'HARTLEY V12', the first in a new product line for us. This first engine is being used by Jaron Olivecrona in his immaculately presented S14 Drift car, we have a great relationship with Jaron and his team, and so far, Drifting has been a great test for performance and reliability. We make no secret of the fact that this engine is based on a Toyota 1GZ, but we don’t consider it a 1GZ anymore, we used only 4 OEM parts, the Block casting, the Head castings, the Crank (for now) and the timing chains. We either made, re-purposed, or commissioned everything else used to turn this into a bespoke, high revving V12 screamer. (by everything, we mean Everything, none of this was ordered from a catalogue)... We consider it worthy of the title HARTLEY V12! in the link to their fb page there are videos of the motor running. 2 Quote Link to comment
125 CSL
In that long cold winter when nothing but snow and cold,.....build an I16 http://www.sweet16.se/ In my workshop I have build the worlds first and only straight 16 cylinder engine for automobile. Take a look in the photo gallery, called BILDGALLERI. As base I use four engine blocks from 40-year old Volvo B20. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFzzhb4pgDrq81ibkwwJ3VA 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
392? There was one pulled out of a logging camp near me. Used to pump water for fire fighting. It looked about the same and was bolted to skids. Quote Link to comment
Profile
After the war to end all wars number 2, you could buy the Allison engines from war surplus for penny's on the dollar. I had the chance to buy 3 for $150 total. A big number of them also ended up in West Texas pumping water. I never saw any of the Rolls Royce engines for sale in the states but I know they were hear as some ended up in race cars and boats after the war. Quote Link to comment
G-Duax
Today, just a distributor cam will cost $200 ! A couple of years ago, someone listed 3 of the Allisons on eBay. Didn't bother watching what they went for. A lot of them still around, being stuffed into all sorts of cars. This one in a '37 chevy. Quote Link to comment
