Racer X 69
This carrier has a dedicated run from So Cal to someplace in Texas. They run this odd combination to carry the maximum amount of freight. Take a close look, that is a 57 foot long trailer, not a 53. And check how deep the pin is. You wouldn't hook to this trailer with just any tractor! Dirksen by Racer, on Flickr Dirksen by Racer, on Flickr Dirksen by Racer, on Flickr 1 Quote Link to comment

Racer X 69
I'd heard that COE's were undesirable nowadays. Well they are no longer manufactured in North America. There are a few owner operators who are clinging to the nostalgia of the COE. And the California carrier I posted a photos of earlier that has a small fleet of Peterbilt COE tractors. And today's conventional tractors are very ergonomic, with a ride nothing like the trucks of 20 or 30 years ago. However in Europe they are the standard. Since roads were designed and built before the automobile, they are tight and narrow. Even as the transportation network has evolved and grown, it has been limited by the ancient highways and byways. So short tractors and (relatively) short trailers are the norm there. Quote Link to comment

Mud pit shots are cool. The loose dirt shots could be run in almost anything with decent tires and ground clearance. But when they show it in the rock quarry and it uses the nice road to get out and then show it with the large gravel piles just driving between them on the smooth ground, those could be easily accomplished in a lowered 510. 2 Quote Link to comment
