I'm helping her look for a car,which she'll pay for herself.I'm shocked at the prices of used cars,& the cost of parts/repairs. I looked at this 1985 Celica GT automatic.It's really clean,and well taken car of.The owner's had a lot of work done on it in the last year.Doesn't appear to have any rust.He's asking $2700 for it. thisismatt Posted October 15, 2022 Report Share Posted October 15, 2022 To be reliable for a while, anything that age will need all hoses and belts done if they haven't been in the last 10 years or so. I feel like that kind of stuff is easily overlooked, but will leave a new driver stranded (and possibly worse, with a blown engine). 1 Quote Link to comment

The seller said that the battery,all shocks,front & rear brakes,hoses & belts have been done not long ago.Engine was rebuilt not too long ago either.Seller has receipts for all the work done.Front seats & interior are in great shape. Made a deal for $2500,& pick it up tomorrow.Our Granddaughter's really excited about it! Also,there IS hope for kids today- her friends think it's a really cool car.
