Steer into a slide and get the clutch in, or automatic in neutral. Just jam the lever up or forward from D to N. They are designed for this so don't think, just do. This uncouples the engine braking effect from the rear wheels and reduces the chance of lock-up. If you have all season tires, LSD or a welded differential.... stay home.

I used to work with a girl who wasnt the sharpest.  We had a threat of snow which would have been around the time we were to be leaving work.  She asked me how to drive in it.  I explained the faster you went, the less likely snow was to get trapped in your tires.  Faster was better.  

 

I stopped her on the way out the door.  Poor girl.  Was attractive other than a Jessie the body ventura butt chin.

fun fact .. While waiting for a state patrol VIN inspection yesterday i learned that Russian type speakers pronounce i5 ..... I5  

Their lips do a pointy thing while it's happening but comes out the same..
