Didn't the NFL allocate 155million for head trauma research for victims? That $155,000,000!!! Point 15 billion!! That's like an admission of guilt to me. How many billions have they made kicking players heads around a field over the years????

If you adjust for inflation and the value of gold now to then - not quite as much as the Emperors of Rome made from Gladiatorial matches.

Think this out long term...Next step is that tackle football will be banned in high school because of the high potential for head trauma & school administrators not wanting lawsuits (via the obvious admission Mike points out above). So that means then there are less players in College playing football ... and soon most universities will bow out because of the lawsuit potential as well.

I see a very different NFL in the next 10 years...

I don't watch mindless games played by over paid brutes spilling each others blood for mere entertainment.

If they brought rollerball to primetime, is shell out the shekels for cable

Well.... maybe it's time for it to go. A lot of people have made a lot of money off these 'dumb' athletes. Hell the athletes themselves have made impossible money off it at the expense of their lives and health. Sport competition is just a peacetime aggression substitute for war.
