Honey Bee; Stinger

Traded a built Chrysler notrod for a '75 B210 coupe
Plan is to clean it up, replace the destroyed vinyl top with bedliner, and stripe it period correct. As the Honey Bee was a sedan marketed to young female college students, I'm going to do this up as the "Killer Bee" with period stripes, period lettering and a more aggressive bee.
Pics when I get home.

Sweet ride!

the honey bee was a trim option for the 2 door sedan, what you have is a 2 door coupe. you can add the honey bee strips to your car and it will look nice, but wont be like anything that was ever sold by a dealer

He said in the first post that since the Honey Bee was a sedan, this will be a "Killer Bee". I think he just wants it to look like it would look if they had done the coupe as an option.

Last weekend I pulled the dash apart to fix the speedo. The needle was just sitting on the shaft! Whilst I was there, I decided to fix the dead vents.

See? you can neither open nor close the vent.

I removed them and disassembled them.

This is due to the thin scored plastic breaking. In all the B210s I've owned (7) I've never seen a good one.

I had these fun little guys from my '62 Rambler project. They're available from Vintage air for like $12.

Removed the ball vent from the housing and trimmed to just fit in the Datsun housing;

you seriously need to trade me that Subaru wags for my turbo pinto wags.....

Finally got tired of my sticking, made in china, crappy lawn tractor ignition switch......so's I go onto Rock Auto because it would cost me $120 through work. I order up the acdelco for $59 figuring it would just be a chinese knock off.

It arrives via fedex tied to my fence in a trash bag    When I opened it, it was in a Standard box.

I figured; Score! higher end replacement!

Then I open it and the first thing I see is the 'Nissan Motor' on the key

I get excited

Then I see the 'Made in Japan'

I get more excited

Then I see the 'Kanto Senki'

Eff Yes! NOS parts!

Plug it in and turn it on and all is well. It took me longer to find an 8mm than it did to actually install the damn thing!

All done. Just need to find the ring to finish it off

Tomorrow I will replace the 4 blade fan with an electronic one

A '70 D100 swb with bad kingpins and this rig with all my tools weighing 14,000lbs was too much. I had the power (roller 318) and the Brakes; but I couldn't keep it on the road no matter how I loaded it.

Got my vintage aftermarket wiper delay hooked up, just need to build a bracket. Dug up all my cruise control parts, need a day to install.

Adjusted the clutch, pulled enough leaves out of my cowl to fill a coffee can, replaced my rear markers with amber, and went to pnp for weatherstrips.

I also decided to change the title. Killer bees didn't exist in '75 and use of the word "killer" in a car model probably wouldn't fly. I figure I'll call it a Honey Bee Stinger.

There is 'Stinger' in the stripe, and I'm debating using a small Honey Bee logo over where the original B210 logos were.
