Your plans sound pretty good, c-notch requires some engineering and knowledge. Remember, it affects your shock mounts and normally have to remove all the smaller leafs in the springs or go with a 4-link to get that low.

 

I see what your doing, keeping the flatbed low to make loading easier.

 

Make the flatbed as big as possible for more room, room for a quad and a tool box/gas can area.

Don't remove springs. Find a way around this. Two reasons...

 

It's the springs that give lateral stability. Remove them, and the remaining ones can allow the axle to shift sideways shredding tire and fenders. A panhard bar would be advisable.

 

Less springs are softer and the truck will travel farther on bumps and dips. Never a good idea on a vehicle that's been lowered closer to the pavement.

 

 

Have the arch removed from the springs and add a leaf to firm them even more.

oh boy what a while it has been...truck is currently lifted with 30" wildcats...trying to decide if i want to do a ka24e swap or vg30e...i have almost everything for the vg so might go that route
