521 alignment specs???

Recommended Posts

So the front end of my 521 is going back together after the Disc Brake conversion, all new tie-rods, bushings, kingpins, idler arm, centerlink, all that Jazz, and the Datsun 521 book I have simply states "Optical Equipment is necessary for proper setting of Toe In... YADA YADA YADA..."

Could someone offer me some specs on the Toe In... I can use a couple of straitedges and a tape.. just need an Idea of what is correct.

18 inch wheels

245/45/r18 tires

Torsion Bars Cranked down nearly all the way, but not re-indexed.

Thanks... If I can get it where it needs to be I wont have to worry about some yahoo at the alignment place, messin with my work.;)

Realistically it is all about how you drive your truck. If you want it to grip and corner give it a lot of negitive camber, positive caster, and just a little toe in( about 1/16").

For just driving you will want less than a full degree of negitive camber, neutral caster, and a bit more toe in than I said before(1/8"-3/16").
