u should run a smaller front bag it cant rub the frame rail or be that close to the spindle.......slam is lying when they say there bags don't expand/swell on compression..(ask me how i know)..mostly people run a 2500 bag up front and usually cup the frame rail a little bit......

i will say this body style is fucking sick and i am super jealous...totes!!

No rubbing at all, cycled with air now, can see the clearance with the spindal if you look closely on the photo taken looking through the wagon. Trust me when i say it was not just thrown in there, would have been much easier to throw in a SS5 but i am using spare parts on this build and i had the choice of Slam RE6 or continentals. I also need ever bit of lift possible for the 19's and the 3" body drop, the re6 will be also bit softer than the 5" at ride height.

so far the only cash I have spent is on laser cut brackets and 1mm cut off disks

Tomorrow I will square up the diff and get it positioned, I am waiting on brackets for the 4 link, so not too much can be done. Also plan on notching out the gearbox x member for exhaust

I woke up this morning to find a bag of laser cut brackets next to the door that arrived yesterday. Awesome.... Put in a solid 9 hr day today. Started with setting up the wheelbase and centring the diff, anyone who has done this before knows that it is a absolute pain in the ass to get square and centred. I used some steel hooks to set the diff where it need to be Wheelbase wise, then centred it left to right then set the pinion to 4deg at ride height (175mm) and tacked it.

From there I started with the set up and positioning of the 4 link. Starting with the lower link arms first. set them to 0 deg at ride height. tacked them in, tacked in the x member and moved onto the top arms.

Top arms I had 2 lengths to choose from what i have hanging around in the car port. I ended up using the shorter arms. One thing to remember is the shorter arms you use the more the pinion will change through the arc of travel. I set up the arms with 3 deg pointing towards the front to set the instant centre around the very front x member. Tacked everything and cycled it through the travel. all good with the pinion only changing to 0deg when layed out/on frame.

tacked in my bag mounts. Trying to keep everything as low as possible to try and keep the back seat. looking good so far. I need to move the bag mounts back a touch and jig a couple of things around.

front A arm mounts done for triangulated arms

4 link and diff is set up to the mm and degree now, after a few nights of small tweaks and walking away and re checking the next night.

rear bags set up and good to get welded in, not above the rails = below the floor

This body is so much heavier than I thought even without a floor.

I managed to get both the chassis and body as high as the jack stands would go, only had the 4 saw horses and 2 lengths of 100x50. but that was not high enough and did would not allow me to get under the floor to where i need to finish welding in the body drop. I did this solo, it was not easy, but i somehow got it done, still do not know how….

more work done today!!!!!!

The inner tubs took most the day, not so much the outside sheets but the filler panels to hold back into the original body work,

Put the back seat in to check out 1. if it still went in and 2. to see how much head space there was.

Im 6'6 and could sit in there, doubt i could with the front seat in, but still surprised me.
