flatcat19
Do you have a Haynes manual yet? Get one. Brakes can be adjusted without taking the wheels off. There is a little rubber cover on the bottom of all your backing plates. A flathead screwdriver can be used to tighten the star wheel inside. Tighten till the wheel gets some resistance from the shoes rubbing the drums. Do all 4 as evenly as possible. Pump the brakes a few times, then recheck. You want some resistance, not a lot. And you want all 4 wheels evenly adjusted. THEN, and only then, you can bleed the brakes. Find a friend/member familiar with bleeding brakes. Inspect for leaks. Repair what leaks there are.
