The Wag already went to a good home. Sorry.

 It was really expensive.

As to you're running gear question:

WAGONEER non quadra track.

44 front and rear / D-20 divorced /  Datsun L-20B /  and the drop pan 4 speed / dog leg 5 speed / or the Borg warner Datsun 3 speed auto.

If I were to start a build today I'd start here.....

I have a divorced Dana 20 adapter I could be persuaded to part with. I'd have to think on what else is in my stash, might have a cam somewhere.   :)

Or maybe here.

I'd still latch on to the devoiced adapter that 2eD has.

I probably have all the parts you need.

To be honest though, you'd be money ahead buying the aforementioned Wagoneer , taking what you need and boning the rest.

The Jeep listed is a good donor.

It will have a D-30 front / not a terrible front end . ( Not the same 30 as in a YJ ) Passenger side drop 5/5.5 hub-ed front. This one has Warn selectro's.

Dana 44 rear. 5/5.5 centered.

Dana - 20 T-case.

Saginaw power steering.

 A good solid column.

And a 360 Turbo 400 combo .

All of these are needed to do the conversion you are looking to do.

Well, all but the engine and transmission.

360's with that tranny are not to tough to unload for a good price.

Then all you'd need is the Datsun engine / tranny of you're choice.

I'm sure some one here would be more than happy to help out in that regard.

Ouch poor fella.

That 74 would be a good start for axles. You will need to re gear them most likely, but you'll probably need to do that unless you get a set already re geared. 4:88 in mine works great on the freeway and really well off road.

What tire size do you plan on running? Are you just running leaf springs?

i do plan on running just leaf springs for simplicity and durability. i have not decided on tire size yet but the plan right now is 33-38 inch mud tires on steel rims possibly bead locks.

No problem. Just takes a second.

I tried to find a good donor closer to you. No joy.....

A piece of advice. I did some math on tire size vs. frame stiffness before starting my build.

Came up with the 33" tire as the optimum size. No sheet metal cutting required. Well at least with the rig I built.

4;88 gears.

35" is as tall as I'd be willing to go with the set up  . The frame will need a bunch more love to swing 38" tires, as will the running gear.
