fairladiesman
I'm looking for this air dam and can't find it. Its not custom made bc I've seen another car w it on. And Z store doesn't carry it. N it not on eBay. Or anywhere really. Let me know what u know. N if u have it sitting around...how much? Quote Link to comment
Dawa
whered you come across this photo? this car is most likely in japan, and that aero piece is most likely fiberglass. i could get it for you, but it would cost a few hundred just to ship Quote Link to comment
fairladiesman
Google images. Now that u mention it most likely it is in Japan bc both cars in the picture r right hand drive. Seems like a lot of business just for an airdam. N a lot of trust. Do you own a business? Quote Link to comment
Dawa
no business. just something i do as a hobby. if i were to get it for you i would send you a paypal invoice, and youd pay over that. that way both the buyer and seller are protected in case of anything shady. but it probably is too much work for you just for an airdamn. it would be expensive and it could possibly break during shipping since its FRP Quote Link to comment
fairladiesman
If you can find it that would b cool. How much? And what is it called? Quote Link to comment
Dawa
a few hundred for the piece, a few hundred more for shipping here is what ive found so far Quote Link to comment
fairladiesman
Well that kinda killed it. Why would a japanese part say datsun on it? My car doesn't say datsun on a single inch of the car. Datsun is Americanized nissan. Quote Link to comment
fairladiesman
???? That is my point dude. Why would I pay to have a part shipped in from Japan that is made in the US? Quote Link to comment
Dawa
idk where the lip is made but i assume it was japanese made if that lip were american made the history would be more apparent (what company) and you would it see more often. here are some of the translations im seeing on the sale pages of that lip Out of print rare thing ♪ Nissan Fairlady Z S130Z front half DATSUN ☆ ★ domestic production ♪ extreme popularity! ☆ ★ "S130Z front half DATSUN FRP made" item on display limit! ! ☆ ★ ♪ new unused goods ♪ ☆ ★ is printed ◎ as "DATSUN" and has become a very rare commodity! fairladiesman
13,650 (tax included) So its 136.50$ that's not that bad. What would the shipping be? Quote Link to comment
Ryoskatekov
Its called "ARITA SPEED front half" most people shave the spoilers & glass it to their likeings. and "Datsun" and other USD looking products are very popular in Japan for ZZ33,Z34 as well as S30 & S130 guys. Even though It says"Datsun" the part is made in Japan. Its same for us really... We make "JDM" products to immitate their stuff... http://www.aritaspeed.com/html/aero.htm Arita speed is also famous for their Gnose in the states. And in the description it says "no shipping to other countries" on yahoo auctions listing you posted. Shipping will be ok if you Literally "ship" large products but will most likely end up in 100 puzzle pieces... You will need connections in japan to actually ship the parts in the first place. Dawa
13,650 (tax included) So its 136.50$ that's not that bad. What would the shipping be? its not 136.50 because the japanese yen is not 100 to $1. it fluctuates but has been in the low 90s ($1 USD = 91JPY, fluctuating) there are also banking fees, shipping fees, handling and commission fees. fairladiesman
I like it. Send me a msg of the total. I want to buy. Quote Link to comment
Creepy Cruiser
Since its just glass and easily repairable, I'd cut it in half, so it fit better in a smaller box. This would be cheaper to ship and less likely to get damages further during shipping. Then when it get's here, jusr reglass it back together so it's prefect again. Many times you have to do this with glass parts anyway, just to get them to fit perfect in the first palce, lol. (We've done this many times in the past to ship large fiberglass parts). Also, since it's glass, you can easily remove the Datsun part if you really don't like it on there. (although, I think it's pretty cool) Quote Link to comment
fairladiesman
Agreed sounds like a good idea but kinda doubt the person on the other side is willing to take the time to cut it. But will ask thanks. Quote Link to comment
Dawa
creepy that is indeed a good idea. but i also doubt my guy will be down to do it. eh maybe ill mention it Quote Link to comment

Oh and I'm Japanese living as long as I can remember in the states. If you have question about Japanese slang, culture, and other submerged things that are Un-translatable by google let me know :D (ta heck, do you want me to email Arita speed for you guys and see if they'll cut it in half and give quote?)
