Royal Sierra
So on the way to Canby my engine siezed. Guessing it really didnt like the 4:88 gears. It was a lovely saturday sitting on 99e with my bro (whos KA24de 210 is almost finished) drinking growlers waving at fellow datsuners passing by. Thanks to the guy in the blue 1200 who turned around to see if we were all good. Had truck towed home..i have a line on an L engine and a couple of hardbodys i may pull the gears out of. Truck otherwise functioned well. 2 Quote Link to comment

Royal Sierra
We just regasketed the engine and rebuilt the head. New water pump and all that. Everything was new but the bottom end.. As far as the camper goes it was cool but too much for me. My buddy has a ratty aluminum canopy with blue tinted glass that'd match this truck perfect but he won't fuckin sell it. 2 Quote Link to comment

Royal Sierra
I got the engine mated to the Trans but now my clutch is very stiff. Slave cylinder moves the fork but I don't think it was this way before. Any ideas.. 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Che the throw out bearing arm is properly on the throw out bearing. Also check the that the throw out bearing arm is properly seated on the ball. Did you clean and re lube the throw out bearing collar and the nose cone of the transmission? Did you clean and re lube the pivot ball and socket on the throw out bearing arm? Do you have the right throw out bearing collar? Is the throw out bearing over adjusted? Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Did you use a different clutch? There are different throw out bearings, sometimes they can get mixed up. 1 Quote Link to comment

I'll check these when I get home. Same clutch and flywheel. Truck had an l16 when I got it but with a 200mm clutch. It worked fine with the l18 and 225mm clutch that was in it..I'm still using the 225mm..maybe that's part of the issue? 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
The throw out bearings are the same the collars the throw out bearings press onto are different lengths. I know that 200mm clutch and the 225 clutch are different lengths. Wayno & Datzenmike both know a lot about this issue. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
he said he putting in a L16 so I assume a l16/18 was in there as he didn't mention a 6 bolt flywheel(like a L20). So same stuff would be used unless the other motor had a roadster pressureplate on there Quote Link to comment
