So I guess I took my sweet time getting this build thread started, but here we go!

I missed a couple parts but this should cover most of it.

I found this 620 in 2011, fell in love at first sight. I had to have it.

Here she is minutes after getting her home

Got her for a steal with a bunch of extras. Her PO had got it for a project then said that he "couldn't keep it up," and got a camaro instead.

Let's see in the last year I have:

Replaced Ignition coil, Plug wires, Plugs.

Lowered 2in, switched to 255's on 10x15in rims(no idea what the offset is)

Painted hood

Here she is these days:

Nice, I really like the flares. Wish I had known about KCs before I got mine, but driving around with your knees in the air is what the cool kids do right? Do you have any specific plans for this truck?

I'm not to sure, for a while there i actually had fooled myself into believing that this may be my only Datsun....Going to canby screwed that one up..

I'm thinking just something nice, smooth ride, nothing crazy fast, just a cruiser. I'm not really sure yet.

Haha, I think we have all been there.

"I just want it to run well"

*Joins Ratsun*

"Maybe an LZ or SUs"

*First show/read and epic build thread*

"I want (insert high powered unobtainium engine)!"

Nothing wrong with just driving it and enjoying it. So far my 620 has been the most fun out of any vehicle I have owned. Its slow, rough around the edges, and drinks gas like a v8, but its old and awesome :P

Whenever I think that I'm out of my mind for putting this much time and money into an old Datsun, all I have to do is look some of your threads to know that I'm not nearly as whack as you are.

You're going to skin a few knuckles, stand up too fast and bump your head, hunt around the floor for the nuts and bolts you dropped, invent a few new cuss words and when you're finished you'll say "That wasn't so hard after all!"

So between finding this sludgy oil under my valve cover today..

DSC02031Medium.jpg

And this, Oil in my raidiator. I don't know how it got there, gotta check the head.

DSC02032Medium.jpg

This could also answer why my coolant is disappearing.

I'm pretty sure I've got my work cut out for me this summer. I'm ordering a gasket set and going to clean everything up.

That is a cool tool. I usually use a trimmed 2 x 4. Nice price too. I need one for my build this winter.

Thanks for the info!
