510baydat510 Posted June 10, 2013 Report Share Posted June 10, 2013 So i bought a 2 barrel webber for my l20 in my 510 and it will start up but wont stay idling ive done a complete rebuild on the webber and when i get it to idle it idles perfect amd then drops really low any suggestions? I don't know a thing about Datsuns as of now, but if there is an in-line fuel filter, check that first. Is it running on its own without adding fuel to the carb to get it going? Quote Link to comment

datzenmike Posted June 24, 2013 Report Share Posted June 24, 2013 The Weber requires an adapter and two gaskets (at least) It's common for the bolts to come loose from vibration and, over tightening the bolts will crack the adapter. Idle and spray carb cleaner around the carb base and the adapter. If the idle changes, cleaner is being sucked in through a crack or loose gasket. Quote Link to comment
