Hello There,

 

I bought ArcheTypeDatsun's 81' 280zx turbo. (Thankyou Arche)

Yes yes I know... another z-car ... I have a problem ... :rofl:

I wasn't going to post anything until I was a bit further along with it , but thought I might get the ball rolling !

-Z31 300zx Turbo set up (ECU & MAF)
-AiResearch T3/TO4E Turbo
-Steeda Short Shifter (Aftermarket Mustang shifter)
-Stock exhaust with 3" Megan muffler
-Aluminum Koyo radiator dual electric fans
-MSA front & rear sway bars
-HID lights
-Aftermarket headlights
-Headlight covers
-JVC stereo w/ Pioneer Speakers
-16" Ultra Wheels
-New NGK spark plugs
-New Spark plug wires
-New Cap & Rotor

------------------------------------Plans & Goals------------------------------------------------

-Get it fixed up and back up to daily driver status (I'll elaborate more on that as things progress)

-finish paint touch up if possible

-paint and hopefully mount a spare nice condition bumper.

-go through and fix any small things etc etc.

-plans go from there !

 

As far as the car itself goes... It's very apparent the previous owners loved the car inside and out.. (good job Arche) :thumbup:

It's pretty neat to have a short throw shifter on the T5 transmission itself , and definetly a "different" feeling when shifting on this transmission !

 

Anyways thanks for tuning in and I hope to have some more significant posts than just pictures of my car here soon :rofl:

You are collecting so many,, are you going to start renting these out to ex 70s porn stars at the airport or something ?

I was just talking to my buddy about that .... grow porno mustache ... must play 70's/80's music ...... already starting to grow out hair .... ... horizontal striped t-shirts and bell-bottom's ... .... what about tunes ? ..... portable vinyl's some @$@% and drive the car "realy carefully" so it don't skip !? :lol:

Had to have the shell hauled off for free yesterday... was a bit tricky with the car :-/

(good responding tow truck driver too)

Drove the Copper zxt right back into the sx's old spot.

This line leads to the wastegate actuator from the intake manifold.

Carefully.... pulled back the EFI wiring harness to tuck back , so it won't get in the way. (looks like a mess but nearly most of it is def not ! )

Popped the radiator loose

Starter (2) 14mm Mounting bolts , and (1) 14mm electrical (+) battery cable nut ,,, lastly the excite wire !

Pulled off the exhaust from the turbo-downpipe (sorry was bright and couldnt get a good picture... :-/ )

(3) 14mm nuts. Recommend a deep socket + medium extensions + PB Blaster.

Just about ready , so I bolted/attached the chain ( sorry ... load-leveler not close... )

Hood has to come off , and I decided to take it off at the hinges rather than at the hood.

(3) 12mm bolts on each side.
