Datsun engine decals, paint number labels repro

I'm thinking of getting a batch of reproduction stickers and plates made such as paint number stickers, antifreeze info stickers, vin number plates etc to replace worn and missing ones, particularly useful after an engine bay repaint.

My 520 vin plate is missing (blacked out engine bay) so I need one for myself for starters!

Who would like them, and post a picture of the one you need if its not here. More people that want them the sooner they are going to happen

They will be very cheap to post worldwide.

I only found one other person doing a Vin plate and the quality was pretty bad, so I want these to be perfect!

There are many ways to restore a vehicle.  There is the "concourse" , or "show"  restoration, where cars are trailered, never driven in the rain, always garaged, and basically a "trophy" on wheels, that happens to have an engine and is capable of moving itself.  People then go to the show, and get in endless discussions about the type, and color of a bolt, and if it has a screwdriver slot, the "factory" orientation of the slot.

Then there is the "get it running reliably"  fix the rusted out floors, keep the old girl running.   I think the majority of people on Ratsun, are closer to the "keep it running", and drive it mentality.

I myself could see reproduction VIN plates selling, but for the paint sticker, not as much.  Why put a sticker on the car stating using Amino Alkyd enamel.  Paint technology has changed so much, and improved in the last 40 or so years.

One could argue cars have improved in the last 40 years so why even bother having an old car!

People who want to keep their car looking complete and correct might like these. They won't be expensive, unlike the $20 used centre console tyre info stickers advertised on an auction website!

A-ha! Now that is worth knowing, thanks for the link! I wonder how much the decals are. They don't do truck ID plates or B210 etc by the look of it, so its still worth me doing some of those I think!

Next question, has anyone figured out a way to reprint the printed info on the air cleaner lids? (Black printing directly on the paint)

Ive never seen printing directly on the air cleaners... I thought they were all stickers? Other than the "Made in Japan" stenciles with the Kanji.

Found out his antifreeze stickers are $20 and the ID plates are $60. These things do take time to set up but I can't help feeling he'd sell 10 times as many if they were half the price. Anyways, thats good news for me as mine will be a fraction of the price.
