VFR800
VW "pursuit vehicle" in Austria praying that a hot Merc or Beamer doesn't rush by. It's certainly well camouflaged. 2 Quote Link to comment
125 CSL
Just think of what it would be like behind the wheel. No safety gear at all. Skinny tires. Hand brake. Then having the gearing so it wants to run full tilt,...and that one guy driving cross country with out goggles. I would have to at least have on goggles. Quote Link to comment

Profile
Pete Dalio had a Triumph cycle shop in Dallas back in the time after WW2. In about 1960 or so he built the fastest motorcycle in the world (the Texas Cigar). 200 mph as I remember. He also had a top fuel bike also Triumph powered. Was the man to go to for fast Triumphs. Texas had Pete Dalio and Calif had AJ Lewis. Both built very fast Triumphs. Quote Link to comment
Profile
The record run was in 1956 at 214.4 mph. Johnny Allen was the rider and that looks like him with the Dalio t shirt. He only weighed about 120# and that looks like someone that small in the picture. BTW the name was Texas Ceeegar. The last time I saw Pete was in 1977 and he looked old at that time. RIP Pete. Racer X 69
A sweet little 1962 Impala Automotive creations 12180 North 153rd Circle Suite B & C Bennington, Nebraska 68007 Nicely done car. They changed the bumpers quite a bit. They were three pieces with an aluminum filler panel around the license plate. And they let the exhaust into the bottom a bit on the rear one. I suppose if I stared at it long enough I'd find all kinds of little details that were changed. My first car was '62 Impala Wagon. Always kept the back seat folded flat, and had 'wall to wall' carpet. Got laid a lot in that car. 1 Quote Link to comment
Racer X 69
Check out this '67 Nova. They did some radical rework on this car, even manufacturing custom one off bits all over the car. It fetched $300,000 at auction. Read about it here The Roadster Shop in Mendelein, Illinois built the car. These guys are all about perfection. Everything has been worked out. Nothing looks like it was done as an afterthought. 1 Quote Link to comment
