I can't remember what they do exactly but I think it has to do with reducing drag (rather than creating downforce) So far Gaggle has pooped up a bunch of info on auto VG's being used in specific areas of an automobile to create more down force without the added weight of a wing. But are also used in air disruptions in high drag spots. Guess like how a sharks skin works in water these mimick with air? Quote Link to comment
