A good body shop may be able to straighten out that section at lower cost than buying a chopped section, welding it in if you have the skill and then properly rust proofing the inside welded seam before refinishing.  Consider the total cost before jumping to a conclusion.

I didn't even think of that... I've worked on a rusty ass vw bus lately so my mindset went straight to welding in new metal.

That's what I would do. It should be pretty easy to push out those dents. The metal looks solid.
