blackmarkit
Ok so I've haven't had a full evening to work for a few days. But I got a little done. I pulled the motor and transmission back out and cleaned it up. Finally got some sheet metal and did about a hours worth of work. Quote Link to comment
blackmarkit
Ok so tonight I tackled the radiator mount and it turned out pretty good. I used the cxracing 510 ka radiator. Im not super impressed with them but there short amd wide. the mounting tabs are never the same. so i slotted my mounting holes 3/8" in my mill to give a little adjustment. The small bead rolls added a lot of style. 2 Quote Link to comment

blackmarkit
Well as I promised my wife this would be a quick one but all my friends keep saying well... Why don't you just ..... So the motor is stripped down to the short block. The head gasket looked questionable. The engine bay is almost completely stripped and should be painted by this weekend. I have a good friend and future employee helping me named Jesse. He's the one that keeps convincing me to change and clean up all the old worn out stuff. And while I know hes right I wanted to though it together and drive it. But it looks like I won't be keeping this one for very long so with all that I'm doing it should be a much easier sell. bonvo
i have a question why didnt you stitchweld the engine bay while you were at it? you were already welding away why not take the extra time to make the chassis stiffer Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Great work! Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Wow that turned out pretty awesome! I wasn't expecting anything that clean. Nice car dude 1 Quote Link to comment
blackmarkit
Yeah I could have stitch welded the bay but I'm just trying to make a decent daily not a race car. I know it wouldn't have affected anything in a negative way but the only reason I tubed the front was because of damage. Hopefully I can lower it a little and just have a smooth riding reliable daily until I finish my 260z Quote Link to comment
blackmarkit
I guess the next one I do I'll stitch weld. I'm sure the next owner wouldn't mind Quote Link to comment
