Hey all, new Nissan owner. I have a 1986 Nissan 720 ST that I got a few weeks ago. So far I have dropped it 3 inches front and back, and I did some fender work on one of the fenders, also painted the fenders and hood. I shaved the passenger door handle off [to see if I could do it and how it looked] and I intend to install a shaved door handle kit. When I got the truck the tailgate latch was broken off, so I also shaved that, and it turned out pretty good. I have my own domain that I am building a website full of pictures of my progress, it's slow going, and I just built the page today [30MAY2014] so nothin' special yet. http://86-nissan-720.punishthedeserving.net/

Have done a number of other small things, including trying to patch my radiator, as it has a hole in it and I cannot find someone to repair it, nor find a junkyard that has one for sell, and I currently do not have the funds for a new one. Right now I am trying to figure out the emissions so I can remove them [if anyone has tips on this, I would greatly appreciate it!]

Hope you all enjoy!

We're all lazy. When someone post a link to a picture I rarely click it. We have the ability to post our pictures and I want to be spoon fed. If a link doesn't work I move on. It's just the way it is.

Currently coding the website now, there are a few pics up right now.

Removed vacuum system (except advance and brake boost)

Removed EGR valve.
I purchased an EGR blanking plate $7 and manifold plug $10 on ebay as well as a 23mm CrowFoot $20.
Interestingly, the manifold required a 15/16" socket to install.

I removed the 2 posts that held the diaphragm to the intake manifold and replaced them with short bolts and a new gasket.

The EGR assembly is partially clogged up with soot but the valve looks like it still moves.
If anyone wants to clean it up and use it, it's yours if you pay for shipping.

Do you have part numbers for these by any chance, maybe a link to them on ebay? I am in the process of doing the same thing.

have done a lot to make it look like this, including taking off the bed and painting the back wall of the cab! Was not an easy task to do solo! haha

if anyone is interested in seeing the album of my progress, send me a pm!

That looks cool, you cut it really close. Are you going to run a smaller filter?

I cut right on the crease to make it easier. Just inside the crease was where the robber seal on the assembly started. Leaving additional metal on would have been for looks only with no practical use.

A different color filter would look nicer but since this truck is a beater and full of rust, looks aren't part of equation.

Well, I am not a fan of kick panel speakers, so that is why I did it. Plus I am 6'2" and need all the leg room I can get! And I don't like kicking my expensive speakers either! That and the sound is horrid in that tiny hole way down there by my feet.  :poop:

But thanx anyway! It took a lot of work, cigarettes,  and profanity!
