Hey guys! I’m new to Ratsun, I just got my very first car (truck) a 1979 Datsun king cab (strip model i believe) truck from a friend of my dads for $400. it runs (barely), the previous owner cut it up a bit but im going to repair it back to how it was suppose to be haha, looking for parts such as a new dome light, drivers side window assembly, original turn signal arm, and a flywheel currently. I’m also planning on lowering it, and converting it to a stick shift. I’d appreciate ideas and tips to help me along the way  :D  thanks! mytruck016_zpsa5bc20d5.jpg mytruck015_zpsbcff40b6.jpg mytruck014_zpsfe44c719.jpg mytruck013_zpsd0ff27e1.jpg

You did good for $400. Talk to Tdaaj on here for parts. He love his 620's and has loooooots of parts.

As to the 240 trans fitting, yes it will, BUT, 240's came with a 4 speed trans. So, you would be better off to keep the one you have until you can find a 5 speed for it. If your going to go through the trouble of swapping over, might as well make it count.

That looks like a lot of work.... You should just sell it to me ;)

Awesome looking truck! I love the color, polish up that old paint and rock it! One of mine is that color but the PO spray painted the front end and ruined it :(

It could be because photo bucket started attaching their URL link along with the IMG link. If you delete the URL section it might work. Starts with brackets around URL and ends with /URL in brackets

This has worked for me and a couple other guys

Im currently painting some of the matte black parts the prev owner painted terribly, and i just got some datsun stripes for the sides. New rims are currently in the works.
