Fishorgolf
If I'm right when I turn the key to the on position I had two red lights come on, one for oil and gen lights they are not working. My fuel and temp gages stopped working too, I think I have a disconnected plug or plugs or maybe a blown fuse. All my dash lights work once I turn over the motor and start the motor. After getting my fuel tank hot tanked and reconnecting the fuel gage wires to the sending unit at the tank it was nice to have the fuel gage work. Ok looking RL 411 with 1600 motor fresh plugs and a oil change and I was ready for spring time driving. I verry lightly started cleaning the engine compartment very little water and damp cloth, I must of hit something ( disconnected or let water get in some wiring plugs ) cause motor ran ruff for awaile. The next day motor ran like a sewing machine but fuel and temp gages did not work. Thank for your help in advance happy motoring Grant. Quote Link to comment
wayno
Check/replace all your fuses, if that doesn't get the fuel/temp gauges working, then pull the instrument cluster and check the voltage regulator, clean the contacts. This is the voltage regulator. Quote Link to comment
erichwaslike
It will be a fuse, my car did it before and so did my 521. Can't remember which one it is but it fixed mine. Quote Link to comment
Fishorgolf
Thanks guys: I found out to day on the way home from work in the rain the wipers were added to the list. I switched out the old fuses you know the ones that have paper printing inside, All 7 tested good but new ones fixed the problem. Quote Link to comment

datO)))
Iv got that same thing going on. Found out it's my temp gauge it's self. Any idea how to remove the individual gauge? Don't mean to hijack the thread. Quote Link to comment
