ORIGINAL HEADLIGHTS

What are the original headlights that belong in a 1974 620? All 4 of my trucks headlights say Kioto in the center of the glass.I am the second owner of this truck and neither I or the original owner have ever replaced any headlights. Just finding it hard to believe that headlights would last almost 40 years.

Those are original.  Do they all work?

Japanese quality was better than N Am back then. Also they are simple tungsten (run cooler) filaments and not halogen. The truck may have sat for 20 years?

I was stunned to see that both the high beams on my truck are still the originals.

The hi beams in my truck look like the originals too. It sat for 9 years before it came to me. I have halogen lows. The his kinda look like yellow fog lights :lol: . But they work!

Sorry to disappear from my own post guys. My computer went down right after I posted my question. All my headlights work and the longest they have sat is 3 years. I think one of the reasons that they have lasted so long is the regulator only allowed about 13.1 volts to the charging system, which resulted in dim yellow headlights. Last week I replaced the regulator and now I have bright yellow headlights.

I've got them on mine too. They really knew how to build things back then.

Well as I said earlier good quality and they run at a lower temp than halogen.

those koito low beams are kind of hard to come by. you can find them over seas easy enough but getting em here costs to much. but very rare to see the low beams still in tact Ive owned a lot of 620 trucks and only one had the original low beams
