Got all the fuel lines in, plumbed up and ready to fill the tank. If all is good... next up, a brake refresh.

 

Gonna ditch the old soft lines and get new. I'll be looking for a replacement master. I really hope the brakes aren't as fucked as the fuel lines were.

Got a trunk thai trunk seal from route 66 restorations in Prineville. i haven't test fit it yet. It was cheap so.. as long as it keeps water out should be fine. If it was in the sun, it feels like it wouldn't last long. Pics when I test fit.

Put in a little more time today and got this out from the car. It's filthy.. inside and out. Obvious rear main seal leak.

Pressure plate was rusted to the clutch disk.

Clutch disk fused tight to flywheel. Unfortunately it couldn't be saved. It's slightly bent.

Either head gasket leaking oil.. or valve cover. Hope it's just the valve cover cause I know that's leaking for sure.

Rear seal leaking.. got it pulled out and new one is ready to go in.

Getting ready to put a windshield in. Still need to get different seal........

 

Anyway, there was rust in the 4 corners so I scraped it out and painted it with Zero Rust. I wet sanded away a lot of the grime around the edges.

Next up I'll tape it off and primer around it and them paint over that with some color matched paint in a rattle can.

Alright guys. I need some guidance.

 

I am trying to find out why this engine is running like shit. I had a mis-fire on #3. Compression, spark, fuel good. I am checking out the timing. Here is what it looks like with the crank timed.

Cam is slightly off.. could be from worn timing components? It's not a full tooth off.. measured it and it's about a half a cam tooth off.
