like stated the dash lights on my 620 doesnt light up....on the back of the speedometer i notice a male connector, i honestly dot remember what it connects to....

It's where the main wiring harness connects to your dash lights. Plug it in! Surprise, your dash lights, fuel gauge and gas gauge will start working [if your instrument voltage regulator hasn't taken a crap].
