crazee1
Check out the 710 for sale on bringatrailer.com today. I built this a few years ago for my wife and sold it to the current seller. A unique car for sure Quote Link to comment

crazee1
It's "worth" what someone ultimately pays for it. I hope it finds a good home. Quote Link to comment

DaBlist
Too many of the nicer early J-Tins are leaving the country for wealthy buyers collections. A lot of them are being called home. Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
Too many of the nicer early J-Tins are leaving the country for wealthy buyers collections. A lot of them are being called home. A lot of them are going to Dubai also... Like a lot... Guy who just bought my old 610 is a broker who bought it and shipped it to Dubai last month. Said he has bought and shipped 27 Datsuns to Dubai in the last year alone... Quote Link to comment

Bentaxlebob
It's funny how all the highest priced Datsuns I've ever seen for sale, are now returning with higher prices ... ... where's Kelvin's Smurf VG510?? These are professional restorers that take on projects not for the love of the car or brand, but for profit. They are probably restoring other cars as well ( Alfas, Mini Coopers, BMW 2002's, Porsche 914 6 cyl and others ). They build, restore, modify and then sell. Quote Link to comment

The cars he is talking about are already restored, by the seller, then bought by a collector, then later on being resold at a much higher price for no obvious reason other than greed and/or being opportunistic. Totally different thing. ^_^ Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
.. ... where's Kelvin's Smurf VG510?? That's a few years ago (circa 2008). More recent pic (with better wheels)... Quote Link to comment

Totally different thing. ^_^ Not really. In general the guy that restored this 710, the guy that restored the 610, and other cars in same situation sold these vehicles after building / restoring them. Cars left the hands of their builders because builders are not into keeping those cars. Subsequent buyers could keep the cars if truly a brand enthusiast, or like this case shows, these cars are sold and re sold for profit. :w00t: Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
no here's a less recent pic 1 Quote Link to comment
