at this point the bike sat for a while and i cleaned it a bit. I moved and decided to get cracking on it so i took the motor off and got it rebuilt.

The bike came with an extra motor which i thought was the same, but it turned out to be the bigger 80cc motor that cam on the YG1 bikes. The stock motor was completely seized and would have been more expensive to rebuild so i opted to rebuild the 80cc motor. some rebuild pics

mine was candy red, now its sand blasted. back burnered for now, when i start on it again ill make a build thread. but back to this yamaha, i like it. didnt know  about them looks like the ct90's. i wonder if the chinise honda motors would work in it, they make a 160cc. fun to see faces when you ride a wheelie on a bike that could never get the wheel off the ground stock

Great job. Would be good idea to blast the body for paint.

thanks. I dunno about painting it, i really like the patina. I might just wet sand it and spray it with a satin clear coat.

Well I tinkered around with some more today. It didn't want to start. I guess after sitting outside for over a year she feels like neglected. But after many hours of trying I finally got her to start.

Why won't you shift damnit!!!!
