ALLLLL DET trucks cars ect. ect. but the ones with heavy mods.. ya those i'd take out on a track or something ALOT.. just rent the track for a day or maybe just build a track in my back yard.. lol "if i was rich" but ya thats just me.. tnip Posted October 15, 2007 Report Share Posted October 15, 2007 it's funny this whole if money was no object question... to me anyway. in high school a buddy asked me one time what kind of car i would buy if i had too much money, knowing that i love cars. before i answered i asked him what he would buy, he starts listing ferraris and lambos and blah blah... he's like ok, so what would you buy? at the time i was into hondas, i still very much enjoy them and kinda keep up with their technology, anyway i said i'd still buy the 1200 dollar honda i was driving, a four door automatic, probably get a 5spd, or at least convert that one. he was shocked. fact is if i had unlimited funds, i would still buy used, i would still buy older cars. i might lease something with a lil newer with a luxury interior if i had a long commute, but why would i have a long commute if i had unlimited money? as far as datsuns go. i would probably have a 2dr 510 with a high rpm na ka24. something making a very useable 275hp. for a truck i think i'd have a 79 620, single cab, shorten the wheelbase by a foot or so, shorten the bed a lil bit and use one of those yamar 3 cyl diesels, custom turbo, custom geared 6 spd tranny, airbag suspension. my dad came up with that idea, except for the turbo and the shortened bed and wheelbase. something that makes reasonable power for street driving and still gets like 50 mpg. and i like the idea of a 720 with an rb26dett under the hood, but i'm not a big fan of drag racing so why bother? those are probably the only datsuns i would have, the other 50 or so cars would be of various other makes. :D and i'd def buy a big ass property and make my driveway a nice lil roadcourse.
